AI Subscription Comparison Calculator

Pick what you need AI for, and find the cheapest combination of subscriptions that actually covers it — not just the total of whatever you've already chosen. One tool can legitimately cover several needs at once, and this calculator looks for that overlap instead of assuming you already know which bundle is cheapest.

What do you need AI for?
Select at least one category above to see pricing.

How this is calculated

For each category you select, the "if bought separately" total takes the single cheapest tool that covers just that one category and adds it up — the way a simple subscription calculator (or your own mental math) would. The "cheapest combination" instead solves a small combinatorial search: it looks for the lowest-cost SET of tools whose combined coverage includes every category you picked, since one subscription (like a general chatbot with code, writing, and data features) can cover several categories for one price. When no tool in the catalog overlaps your selected categories, both numbers come out the same — bundling isn't always cheaper, and this tool won't pretend it is. It does NOT account for usage volume (how many images or how much code you actually generate) — it only checks whether a tool's cheapest tier unlocks the category at all, not whether that tier's usage limits fit your workload.

Common questions

Does the calculator account for usage limits?

No — v1 only checks whether a tool's cheapest tier unlocks a category at all (for example, whether it can generate code), not how much you can generate on that tier before hitting a usage cap. If your actual usage is heavy, you may need a higher tier than the one priced here.

Where do the prices come from, and how often are they updated?

Prices are checked manually against each vendor's own public pricing page and stored with the date they were verified (shown below the result) — this calculator doesn't scrape or auto-update prices live, so always check the vendor's current page before subscribing, especially if the verified date is more than a few weeks old.

Why might the "cheapest combination" and "if bought separately" totals be the same?

That happens when no single tool in the catalog covers more than one of your selected categories at a competitive price — bundling only helps when there's real overlap to exploit. Selecting more categories generally increases the chance of finding a cheaper combined bundle.

Does this include affiliate links to the AI tools listed?

No. Unlike the physical products in this site's other calculators, AI subscription providers don't run public affiliate programs the way retailers do, so the tool list here is purely informational.
